About SIGHTYR

The intelligence layer for every camera.

Cameras are everywhere — but the footage mostly sits unwatched. SIGHTYR is building the layer that lets a camera actually understand what it sees, so people can act before something goes wrong.

The problem

Seeing isn't the same as understanding.

A jobsite, a warehouse, a storefront — all covered by cameras. Yet when something unsafe happens, it's usually caught too late, on a recording nobody was watching, or not caught at all.

Hiring enough people to watch every feed in real time isn't realistic, and most systems only recognize a narrow, fixed list of things. The result is footage you can review after an incident, instead of intelligence that helps you prevent one.

Our approach

AI that watches. People who decide.

SIGHTYR puts AI-powered cameras on your team and reviews the footage continuously with VEX, our vision engine. When VEX sees something that looks unsafe, it flags it with the evidence — and a person on your team makes the call. No alert is ever treated as the final word, and nothing is acted on automatically.

Open-ended, not a checklist

VEX describes what it sees in plain terms instead of matching a fixed list, so it adapts to any site and any industry.

Private by design

Every company's footage is encrypted and fully isolated. One customer's data is never shared with another.

A human always confirms

SIGHTYR assists your safety team — it never replaces their judgment, and never calls an area "safe" on its own.

Built to scale

From two cameras to thousands, across construction, security, warehousing, delivery and beyond.

Where we're going

One brain, every camera.

We started with body cameras because they go where the work happens. But the real goal is bigger: a camera-agnostic intelligence that any camera — body-worn, security, warehouse, storefront — can use to understand what it's seeing, from a hazard forming to an incident unfolding. Body cams today; any camera tomorrow.

From the founder
"The technology to prevent accidents already exists — it just isn't watching. We're building the layer that makes every camera understand what it sees, so people can step in before something goes wrong."
